Biographical / Historical
Dr. Aaron P. Wolever was born on July 31, 1868 in White County, IN to Elias and Esther Wolever. He married Portia L. Catlett in 1910. Dr. Wolever worked as a psychiatrist at the Jacksonville State Hospital from 1927 to 1948. He and Portia retired to Decatur shortly after. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, and the Jacksonville Masonic Lodge. He and Portia had twin daughters, Elizabeth and Esther.
